Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this Finance Manager role is a great opportunity for a Big 4 CA to step in to a career role with exceptional growth opportunities. Manage a small team, handle financial reporting and business acquisitions, whilst displaying your problem-solving skills and technical accounting knowledge. You will enjoy the opportunity to work across a variety of entities, preparing financial reports, working on group consolidations and getting involved in high profile projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of technical accounting papers
- Working closely on mergers and acquisitions
- Assist with half year and year end activities including preparing timely and accurate statutory reporting
- Work on high profile finance projects across the business
- Work on complex accounting notes and disclosures
- Liaise with external auditors
- Subsidiary accounts reviews
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in either Big 4, or mid tier Chartered firms. You could also have moved on from a CA firm and have some commercial accounting experience. The ability to enact your research skills, interrogative thinking and deep technical accounting knowledge, will be important in this role. Experience working with an ASX listed entity will be viewed favourably. You are a proficient user of Microsoft products with excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and problem solving skills, as well as an ability to work to deadlines are important skills required.
