The Role
Reporting to the Head of Services, you will work closely with a varied team. The key purpose for this role is to assess and decision all existing customer variation requests according to current Australia and New Zealand guidelines. On occasion you will provide support to the wider variations team for general variations not requiring decisioning.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Provide credit/underwriting support and decisioning to variation requests that impact risk position
- Approve or decline, subject to additional conditions, any applications which fall within their delegated lending authority.
- Present recommendations to approve variations for any applications that may fall outside their delegated lending authority.
- Assume responsibility for resolving customer queries relating to variations and deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes and procedures, and industry regulations for all customer service interactions.
- Maintain relationships with the key stakeholders within the business.
About You
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the non-bank mortgage industry in Australia or New Zealand. Applicants with experience in credit/underwriting in the New Zealand non-bank mortgage sector will be looked upon favourably. To succeed in this role, you will have a sound knowledge of non-bank lending mortgage processing procedures, with an understanding of relevant consumer finance legislation. A Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking is desirable. You will also be able to perform to a high standard with a large volume of tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail, with enhanced negotiation and written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and autonomous, with the ability to contribute to a team environment with superior customer service skills.
