This Australian financial organisation om the SME Business commercial Banking sector is going through rapid development in Australia leading to new opportunities in the organisation. Reporting to Finance you will be part of a dynamic team of like minded professionals. This role has plenty of scope for growth and development, with the ability to accelerate your Payments career from a solid platform of Operations & Finance Management within the lucrative Digital Banking sector.
This role will support the business by driving and leading a newly established payments platform . You will also have the opportunity to get involved in key decisions internally applicable to the payments operations for Australian customers
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering end to end payments operations incl policies and procedures
- Managing operations for all transactional banking products incl daily payments, term deposits and product withdrawals
- Managing payments and exceptions incl Direct, NPP, BPAY etc
- Daily reconciliations of clearing and suspense accounts
- Reporting incl monitoring internal controls around payment alerts
Key to this role will be your ability to work in a Business Banking Finance Operations environment, work closely with key stakeholders internally and externally. This is an opportunity to use your solid payments management background and take your skills to the next level in a dynamic commercial environment. Will look at candidates from the retail Banking/ non-bank Mortgages or Commercial Banking operations
A background in non bank lender Financing or Business Banking is highly desirable
The successful candidate will have 5+ years payments operations management experience gained internationally or locally. Ideally you will have gained your technical experience in a similar environment as listed with strong commercial experience from industry in particularly Banking
You will also have excellent written and communication skills, be able to work under your own initiative and are results driven. Strong customer service background is a must.
