Management Accountant

- 4 or 5 days - Permanent - based in Orange, NSW
A community-based financial services organisation is seeking a Management Accountant. The role has the opportunity for you to work with and report to the Head of Finance. You will enjoy becoming a part of not just the team but the country community as well.
The Role
You will report to the Head of Finance and work in a supportive team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate costing information, investment and regulatory reporting. You will also support the needs of the business while maintaining positive work relationships. The role will involve handling compliance and finance analysis.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of annual budgeting cycle
- Completing month-end closure
- Ensuring accurate management and board information is up to date
- Compliance and governance process and standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work both autonomously and assist Finance team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Participate in projects in accordance with budget and goals
- Advanced Excel and database management experience
- Attention to detail with strong analysis skills
About You
You are an experienced Managerial accountant who has a strong passion for working with numbers. You should have extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably with a focus on regulatory reporting, although this is not essential. Additionally, your key strength is to possess strong time management skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and an acute attention to detail. You will able to work independently, while also being comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.
